3 Men Accused of Posing as ICE Agents in Oregon Assault Investigation

Authorities in Oregon are investigating a disturbing case in which three unidentified men allegedly posed as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, detained a woman during what appeared to be a fake traffic stop, and assaulted her before releasing her. Reported Traffic Stop Turned Violent

According to investigators, the incident occurred on July 17, 2026, near Highway 211 east of Woodburn, Oregon. The victim reported that a blue or gray SUV equipped with red and blue emergency-style lights signaled for her to pull over.

Believing she was being stopped by law enforcement, she pulled into a gravel turnout. Two men reportedly exited the SUV, one carrying a rifle, identified themselves as ICE agents, and told the woman she was being detained. Investigators say she was removed from her vehicle, searched, and placed in the back of the SUV, where a third suspect was waiting. The victim reported being assaulted before being released approximately 15 to 20 minutes later. (KGW)

Suspects Were Not ICE Agents

Oregon State Police said they immediately contacted federal authorities, who confirmed the individuals involved were not employed by ICE or any other federal law enforcement agency.

Investigators described the suspects as wearing green long-sleeved shirts, tactical vests labeled “POLICE,” face coverings, baseball caps, and badges marked “Police.” Their vehicle was described as a newer-model blue or gray SUV with no visible license plates. (KGW)

After the incident, the victim sought medical treatment at a local hospital. While there, she reportedly received unsolicited text messages from someone claiming to represent a law firm offering legal assistance related to the incident. Authorities are also investigating those messages to determine whether they are connected to the suspects. (KGW)

The FBI and Oregon State Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has information about the suspects or vehicle to come forward. As of now, no arrests have been announced, and investigators have not publicly identified any suspects. (KGW)
